Yes, you are absolutely correct. Very astute. We had problems because of one of his parents in particular, who was the third person in our marriage. Very destructive and passed down through generations.

Parents can lay down tracks in our brains, becoming our inner voice, early in a child’s development that takes many of us a lifetime to record over. His parent was dominating.

Sorry you have to watch a young relative go through this. Parents have such an awesome responsibility when they decide to have a child — so much can go wrong in their emotional development.
